Opening Prayer
First: please tell the children the story called What happened to the Giraffe?. The spiritist teacher could use drawings to tell this story or set up scenery (zoo) with drawings showing them to the children one by one as the story is narrated.
Pictures of animals, trees, flowers and birds could also be used.

What happened to the giraffe? It disappeared.
What did the other animals think happened to the giraffe?
Should we just imagine and comment our thoughts with others when we don’t know what happened to someone?
What shall we do when someone tells us a gossip? We should silence and not pass these comments to anyone.
Does lying cause damage? Yes, it does. It causes damage to us and to others, even if we don’t intend to.
What happens to the person who lies? This person will end up having no friends; people won’t trust them and even when they say the truth no one will believe them.
What should the other animals have done when the giraffe disappeared? They should not have been gossiping around, spreading rumours. They should have investigated what really happened to find out if the giraffe needed help.
What did the animals learn about the giraffe’s disappearance? They learned not to lie or gossip.
